Shepard Fairey - The mastermind behind Obey

Shepard Fairey attributes the motivation for his ascent in the street art scene to an experience from his school days. He was punished for his classmate's misbehavior. It was then that he developed a distrust of authority and strict hierarchies.

In the years that followed, Frank Shepard Fairey became one of the most respected artists in street art and graphics. His work included the HOPE logo for Barack Obama in the US election campaign and he even made it into an episode of the TV series The Simpsons.
