The right width
The size of a skateboard mostly refers to the width of a skateboard deck. The width of a deck is measured in inches [”]. One inch equals 2.54 cm. There are some reference points that indicate what deck width suits you best, i.e. your shoe size and height. The following chart should help you orientate yourself. Once you have found the right deck width, simply use the filter option "width - skateboards" to show all the decks that would work for you.

A term that will often cross your path while choosing your new deck is “concave”. There are three types of concaves, which describe the long side of a deck. You can distinguish between low, medium and high concaves. Most decks have a medium concave, which is also the favourite of many skaters. The best way to find out which concave suits you best would be to simply test them. Anyway, we would recommend a skateboard deck with a medium concave for beginners.
In our skateboard deck wiki, you’ll get more information about concaves. Our skateboard recommendations for beginners have even more tips as to which setup is suitable for which terrain.
For a proper skateboard, not only is the deck important, but other parts are as well, such as trucks, wheels and bearings. All our complete boards are made of high-quality components that are compatible with each other. Moreover, those parts are mostly all-around components that are versatile and cut a fine figure on almost any terrain.
Complete boards for kids
We also offer complete boards for kids because it’s never too soon to start learning. Simply filter for skateboards that are 6.5” - 7” wide and choose one of the mini-boards.
