Royal skateboard trucks: lightweight, versatile and innovative
Royal Trucks has been providing you with premium skateboard trucks since the late 90s. The brand was founded as part of the Girl Distribution Company in Torrance, California by none other than Guy Mariano.
If you are interested in lightweight and steerable trucks and like to ride street, then you will certainly find in the large selection of Royal Trucks in skatedeluxe skate shop.
Royal Trucks - Innovation & Classic Design
While other truck manufacturers hollow out their kingpins and axle pins, Royal rely on a baseplate with cutouts to save weight. The result are extremely stable trucks with comparatively low weight.
If you are looking for an innovative truck that makes life a little easier on rough curbs and ledges, you should take a closer look at the inverted trucks from Royal. Here, the kingpin is installed the other way around: the kingpin nut is in the baseplate. The Royal Inverted Trucks can be adjusted with an Allen key or a hexagonal wrench. Kingpin nuts that are jammed can be safely written off! Royal Inverted trucks are recommended for skaters who like to spend some time in Feeble and Smith grinds.
The range of Royal Trucks is designed for everyone. In skatedeluxe skate shop you can buy a wide range of different Royal trucks online, which fit pretty much any deck size.
To find the right width for your deck, you are best guided by the size information at the end of each product name or product description. Your Royal trucks should match the width of your deck, a +/- 0.125″ variance is perfectly fine.
Accordingly, for an 8.25″ deck we recommend Royal 144 / 8.25″ trucks, for an 8″ deck Royal 139 / 8″ trucks are best. Of course, these are only recommendations. By the way, the three-digit number, such as 144, refers to the hanger width of Royal Trucks. However, this is not quite as important in the selection.
