It's all good with this shoe, good sole impact, good material, the shoelaces are in the good spot, they don't get hit bu the griptape when u flick the tricks.
My no1 go to shoe when I go longboarding. Don't ask me why but somehow the high part of these shoes makes me ride better than low vans. They are not skateboarding shoes imho because the canvas is waaay to weak for griptape, But if you would, the high ankle part would be a benifit in protecting your ankles from bumping into your board. Love the boardfeel with these (thin soles) for longboarding. Comfortable all the way, also the ankle part.
