Skateboarding as many do not know it yet: There Skateboards
At the beginning of There Skateboards is clearly Unity Press. With the platform for queer skateboarding, Jeffrey Cheung not only offered many people the opportunity to network with other queer and trans skateboarders, but also seized the chance to bring his art to the people on skate decks. The demand grew quickly and Cheung, along with Gabe Ramirez, decided to create a brand separate from Unity.
While one thing should remain the same, namely the focus on queer skateboarding away from the scene norm, There should function like a classic skateboard brand: including a skate team, team clips and pro decks. However, it was never the plan to simply create a queer skateboard company, but rather the chance to give non-traditional skaters more attention and a platform. Thus, There Skateboards was founded in 2019, shortly before the Corona pandemic brought the world to a standstill.
New perspectives and a close-knit family - There Skateboards
Since the first tour video "Euro There" with footage from Milan, Paris and Barcelona a lot has happened despite the pandemic. Meanwhile, There is part of the well-known DLXSF distribution and has caused a stir with the first full length "Ruining Skateboarding". Currently there's a noticeably tight and family-like skate team: Marbie Miller, James Pitoniak, Briana King, Shag, Leo Banuelos, Kat Sy, Jessyka Bailey, Kien Caples, Chandler Burton, Samantha Bolton and Jeffrey Cheung.
Even though There Skateboards has a clear focus on queer skateboarding, the brand is not "queer-exclusive," as evidenced by former team rider Nadair Asghari. So if the brand appeals to you, or you just want to support, you can shop your new deck of the brand fast and easily online in the There Skateboards shop of skatedeluxe.
